From September 10th, Refugi 1 at Moll de Costa hosts 'Ecos del Port', an artistic proposal by El Jardí Digital in collaboration with the Port of Tarragona. This immersive experience invites the public to discover a new perspective on maritime heritage through digital arts, memory, and technology.
The initiative is part of the programming for NOW FEST, the digital creativity festival taking place on November 27th and 28th, 2026. The aim is to highlight the history and connections of the Port and its territory through projections, audiovisual installations, and digital creation, forming an audiovisual architecture where light, image, and sound envelop the visitor.
This sensory journey connects maritime memory, biodiversity, and climate change challenges through digital art and soundscape. The experience is built upon the sounds of the sea and narratives from the maritime community, encouraging a rediscovery of the link between the port, the sea, and the people who have shaped its history.
The exhibition is open until September 20th with free admission. Visiting hours are Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sundays and holidays, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The venue is closed on Mondays.
The project is co-financed by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) and supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Diputació de Tarragona, and the GALP Costa Daurada. This initiative reaffirms the Port of Tarragona's commitment to bringing culture closer to citizens and establishing the Moll de Costa spaces as a hub for digital culture.
The event marks the beginning of a new series of activities by El Jardí Digital at Moll de Costa, culminating in the NOW FEST in late November. The full program will be announced soon, aiming to solidify Moll de Costa as a center for digital culture.
