The works, which will extend for five months, include a comprehensive renovation of the children's areas. New elements such as inclusive games, sand and water play areas, trampolines, balance circuits, and swings adapted to different age groups will be incorporated, thus promoting physical activity and shared play.
The project also includes planting new trees and native vegetation, as well as installing awnings to provide shade in the main play areas. These measures will complement the natural shade from trees as they grow.
Additionally, new resting areas with benches and picnic tables will be created, a new drinking water fountain will be installed, and improvements will be made to the lighting, drainage system, and overall accessibility of the environment.
“"Children's playgrounds should no longer be thought of solely as places to install games, but as spaces for the whole family to coexist."
The Mayor of El Morell, Eloi Calbet, highlighted that the project aims to create comfortable spaces for year-round use, consolidating the park as a focal point for family leisure. This initiative is part of the council's commitment to renovating municipal public spaces, making them more accessible, greener, and conducive to community life.
