The Reial Club Nàutic de Tarragona board has submitted the final phase of the project to the Tarragona Port Authority (APT). The total investment of 4.7 million euros ensures the facility's operating license is extended for another twelve years, until 2036.
“"We decided to maintain the building and preserve the premises that form this facade, which is the most beautiful in terms of sea views."
The new master plan focuses on sustainability, featuring solar panels, green spaces, and climate shelters. Crucially, new regulations ban nightlife venues, shifting the focus toward restaurants and maritime service offices. Currently, the marina's 440 moorings have reached a 70% occupancy rate.
Infrastructure improvements also include a new accessible staircase connecting the Moll de Costa with the marina area. Construction is expected to be fully completed by the summer of 2025, marking a new era for Tarragona's waterfront.
