The 112 emergency hotline managed 186,387 operational calls in the Camp de Tarragona region throughout 2025, marking a 16% increase compared to 2021 figures.

The Tarragonès district accounted for 55% of the total volume, followed by Baix Camp at 33%. These figures represent 7% of all emergency communications handled across Catalonia. The most frequent reasons for calling were medical assistance (33%), public safety (32%), and traffic incidents (16%).
The busiest day of the year was August 18th, when 974 calls were processed, largely due to a wildfire in Fontscaldes, near Valls. Other significant peaks occurred during the Sant Joan midsummer celebrations and a forest fire in Roda de Berà on August 23rd.

"The 112 service makes no distinctions: it serves large cities and rural areas alike, ensuring territorial equity."
