The municipal group Tots Som Perafort i Puigdelfí – AM, linked to ERC, filed a motion of no confidence this Monday, March 16, against Mayor Joan Martí Pla in Perafort.

The republican party justifies the move citing a paralysis in the Tarragonès municipality. In an official statement, the party criticized the current government's inability to complete pending projects, as well as growing concerns over public safety and a lack of transparency in public management.

"We have noted their inability to respond to the real needs of the citizens after a situation of paralysis and lack of management."

The current government is led by Joan Martí Pla, who has held the mayoralty since 1999. The local executive consists of four Junts councilors and one from the PSC. For the motion to succeed, the group led by Jordi Cacho will need support from the Socialist representative or the FIC councilor.
According to legal procedures, the final vote will take place in an extraordinary session scheduled for March 30, ten business days after the registration at the Perafort Town Hall.
