Domínguez argued that the legal action taken by the construction firm Salvat-Jové was a response to being excluded from minor municipal contracts. He defended the legality of wall reinforcements on Sol and Vent streets, stating that the procedures were validated by the municipal secretary and aimed at professionalizing local spending.

Regarding repairs at his private residence, the former official insisted that all payments were made through bank transfers and denied receiving gifts in exchange for public tenders. The Prosecutor's Office is seeking a nine-year prison sentence for Domínguez on charges of malfeasance, fraud, and continuous bribery.
