The Generalitat de Catalunya placed local government at the center of political action during 2025, driving significant investments to transform public resources into tangible improvements in the Tarragonès region.

The Single Plan for Works and Services of Catalonia 2025-2029 (PUOS) is the central pillar of this commitment, with an allocation of over 56.7 million euros destined for the Camp de Tarragona. This investment translates into the renovation of facilities and the enhancement of public spaces in municipalities such as Tarragona, Torredembarra, Constantí, el Catllar, la Pobla de Mafumet, el Morell, Perafort, la Secuita, Salomó, and els Pallaresos.
In addition to the PUOS, the Neighborhood Plan (Pla de Barris) has been revived, with a global investment of 412 million euros across Catalonia, focusing on urban regeneration and social cohesion. Reus, Calafell, and Tarragona were included in this first call. In the health sector, primary and hospital care in the Camp de Tarragona has been reinforced with more than 1.5 million euros.

The Tarragonès region moves forward because there is a Government that listens, works closely with local councils, and puts people at the center.

These actions are complemented by strategic infrastructure investments, including the renovation of the Hospital Joan XXIII, the Justice Forum project, the refurbishment of the Tarragona Fire Station, and the initial steps for the Camp de Tarragona Tramway. The opinion text, originating from the PSC, argues that administrative simplification is key to ensuring these projects are executed quickly.
