The department of Territori, Habitatge i Transició Ecològica will allocate a total of 11,883,443 euros in 2026 to improve the road surface of seven key highways in Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre.

This budget will allow for work on 45 kilometers of roads owned by the Generalitat de Catalunya. The main goal of the intervention is to optimize the pavement condition to enhance road safety and driver comfort across these regions.
In the Tarragonès and Baix Camp areas, works will focus on strategic points such as the C-422 between Constantí and la Selva del Camp, the T-721 in Constantí, and the TP-7013. Improvements are also planned for the C-37 between Alcover and Valls in Alt Camp.
The plan also includes upgrades to the C-221 in Batea, the C-42 between l'Aldea and Tortosa, and the T-240 in Baix Penedès. This investment is part of a global 50 million euro package to renovate 300 kilometers of roads throughout Catalonia.
