The Tourism Board of the Provincial Council of Tarragona has opened the call for the 35th edition of the Jordi Cartanyà Award, which rewards tourism innovation in the Costa Daurada and Terres de l'Ebre with €30,000.

The competition will distribute a total of €30,000 among six winning projects. The awards are structured into three main categories: best innovative and creative project for sustainable and responsible tourism development; best project for the creation of new experiential tourism products; and, best project for technological solutions applied to tourism. Two prizes of €5,000 each will be awarded in each category.
The sustainability award will recognize initiatives that reduce environmental impact and optimize resource use, while the experiential tourism category will value new proposals integrating heritage, cultural, natural, or landscape resources. Regarding technology, solutions contributing to improved management, marketing, communication, or efficiency of tourism services will be awarded.
The call is open to private companies and societies, as well as self-employed individuals. Projects must be active at the time of application and their effects must be developed within the Costa Daurada or Terres de l'Ebre regions. Each company or entity can submit more than one project and apply for multiple categories, although a single project can only receive one award.
The deadline for submitting applications is September 18th. The awards ceremony will take place during the 'Som Turisme' event, scheduled for November.
