The Baixadeta will kick off at half past six in the evening with the participation of various elements of the children's popular retinue, including the Aligueta, Mulasseta, Lleonet, Gegants Moros Petits, Negritos Petits, Gegants Vells Petits, and the Cucafereta. The route will begin at the pla de la Seu, descending the Catedral stairs to Les Cols, then proceeding through Merceria street, plaça del Fòrum, carrer Santa Anna, plaça del Rei, Pilats, down baixada Pescateria, along carrer Cós del Bou, and concluding in the plaça de la Font.
Friday's program also features activities at the Espai Palmeres, which will host the Fira d’entitats de Tarragona (Tarragona Entities Fair) at seven in the evening. Later, at half past seven, the Espai Jove La Palmera will be the venue for the tenth-anniversary celebration of the dance company La Im.Perfecta.
The Ball Parlat de la Sebastiana del Castillo (Spoken-Word Performance of Sebastiana del Castillo) will play a prominent role in the plaça de les Cols, with two performances scheduled: one at eight in the evening and another at half past ten at night. This performance, revived in 2018, has established itself within the city's spoken-word scene thanks to the adaptation of the original text by the Associació Mulassa de Tarragona.
“"The figure of Sebastiana once again brings a female protagonist to the stage, aiming to vindicate the role of women in popular culture."
Both La Baixadeta and the Ball Parlat de la Sebastiana del Castillo can be followed live on Tarragona Ràdio. Music will also be a highlight of the evening, with Sopa de Cabra performing at the Tarraco Arena at half past eight, and the show Generació EGB at the Teatre Auditori Camp de Mart at ten o'clock.
