The La Bóta carnival group in Tarragona was forced to change its Carnival theme after receiving legal warnings from Port Aventura, which aimed to prevent the satirical float named 'MortAventura'.

The group La Bóta, with a 40-year history of performing satirical criticism at the Tarragona Carnival, had planned a float under the slogan 'MortAventura' to criticize the perceived decline of the theme park.
The satire focused on aspects such as long queues, price increases, and the general state of the park, adding to existing criticism following a workers' strike that took place last year.

"Our intention was to denounce a situation that is not secret and that is easily verifiable on social media, where people complain about the service and the costs."

Fearing legal consequences stemming from the warnings issued by Port Aventura's lawyers, the comparsa's board opted for a new theme that does not mention the park, focusing instead on criticizing censorship and freedom of expression.
