The organization highlighted the fair's consolidation as
“"a great showcase for emerging and family music in Catalonia."
The Castell de Vila-seca became the nerve center of the Catalan music sector, bringing together artists, programmers, managers, producers, and cultural agents with the aim of fostering contacts and new collaborations.
This year's edition allowed for the identification of new trends in the Catalan music scene, with proposals such as Sodi, Makuka, and La Publicitat. There was also a notable return of influences from soul, funk, and black music, reinterpreted in contemporary projects like Muniats or Genni Knows.
In the family sphere, the FiM demonstrated a
“"solid and quality generational handover"
in children's entertainment, with proposals such as El Pony Menut, Filomena, and Sardines en Llauna. The program also stood out for its fusion of music with other artistic disciplines, including shows like Lumiero's musical clown act in La Menuda, the object theater of Cinc Minuts de De_Paper and Mular de Cinc Cèntims, and the combination of music and ceramics by La Portera.
The artistic director of the FiM, Martí Marfà, stated that the fair proves that Catalan musical creation enjoys
“"good health"
and has a guaranteed generational handover thanks to
“"delicious and disruptive proposals."
For his part, the mayor of Vila-seca, Pere Segura, emphasized that the FiM continues to consolidate itself as
“"a strategic event"
for the emerging and family sector.
The fair also saw a 15% increase in accredited professionals compared to the previous edition and maintained its
“"slow"
model, focused on fostering conversations, trust-based relationships, and new collaboration opportunities. The next edition of FiM Vila-seca already has confirmed dates and will take place from May 6 to 9, 2027.
