For three days, the Castell de Vila-seca became the heart of Catalan music, hosting artists, programmers, managers, and cultural agents. This edition has highlighted new trends in the music scene, with innovative proposals such as Sodi, Makuka, and La Publicitat.
A revitalization of soul, funk, and black music influences has also been observed, with a reinterpretation of the sounds of the seventies and eighties, present in projects like Muniats or Genni Knows.
In the field of family music, FiM has emphasized a
“"solid and quality generational handover"
within children's entertainment, with proposals such as El Pony Menut, Filomena, or Sardines en Llauna, which mark a new stage of creative renewal in the sector.
The program also stood out for the high level of hybridization between music and other performing and artistic disciplines. Examples include the musical clown act Lumiero, by La Menuda; the object theater of Cinc Minuts, by De_Paper, and Mular, by Cinc Cèntims; or the unique combination of music and ceramics proposed by La Portera.
“"Catalan musical creation is in good health and has an assured generational handover, with delicious and disruptive proposals."
“"FiM continues to consolidate itself as a strategic event for the emerging and family music sector."
In addition to cultural agents, nearly 2,000 students from educational centers in Vila-seca also enjoyed the activities. FiM has strengthened its position in the professional sector, with a 15% increase in accreditations compared to the previous edition. Among the most praised proposals are shows such as Sound de Secà, in collaboration with FiraTàrrega; La Publicitat, linked to the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic and Cases de la Música; or La Portera, in alliance with Fira Mediterrània.
The 'slow fair' model, which fosters trust, quality conversations, and collaboration opportunities, remains one of the most valued aspects by professionals. The organization is already working on the next edition, scheduled to take place from May 6 to 9, 2027.
