The three days of the XXX Concurs de Castells, scheduled for Sunday, September 27 in Torredembarra and Saturday, October 3 and Sunday, October 4 at the Tarraco Arena in Tarragona, will be broadcast live by over thirty local television stations and the La Xarxa+ platform. These broadcasters will offer pre-event programs.
La Xarxa and TAC12 will not only provide extensive coverage of the human tower event but will also produce the international signal. This signal will be available to national and international media, ensuring global dissemination of the competition.
The broadcast will feature a significant technical and human resources deployment. Approximately eighty professionals will form the team, utilizing over fifteen cameras distributed throughout the venue, including aerial shots with a spidercam, superslow cameras, and a drone to capture every detail with maximum quality.
The Catalan Audiovisual Corporation (CCMA) has also planned comprehensive coverage. The Telenotícies Migdia news program on TV3 will broadcast live from the Tarraco Arena, hosted by Joan Raventós. Additionally, there will be live connections with four teams on-site, and several reports will be aired.
The event's media projection will reach a significant international dimension with the presence of the US network CBS. Its production team, responsible for the program 60 Minutes, will bring its star presenter, Lesley Stahl, to Tarragona to record a special report dedicated to the competition.
The media interest in this edition is evident in the high volume of accreditation requests. Ten days before the first day of the Concurs de Castells, over 300 professionals from one hundred different countries have applied for access to cover one of the three days, highlighting the event's global appeal.
