In early October, language and health courses for Iubilo members will begin, alongside scientific discussions and conferences open to the entire URV community. Mid-October will also feature the first cultural excursion to attend the opera Aida at the Liceu.
This year, Iubilo has planned a series of activities for the 2026-27 academic year. Some, exclusively for Iubilo members, require prior registration due to limited capacity, such as language courses or cultural outings. However, other activities are open to the entire URV community, including scientific discussions, a book club, conferences, cultural events, round tables, and book presentations. All activities are announced in advance on the website and via email to members.
Among the most notable activities are the scheduled cultural excursions. These include three operas at the Liceu, visits to the Science and Technology Museum of Terrassa, the Abric Romaní in Capellades, the Botanical Garden of L'Ampolla, and a comprehensive three-day guided tour of the city of València. The costs for these excursions are covered by the registered participants.
Other activities planned for the academic year include the Black Literature Book Club, cineforum sessions, and various workshops, such as one on making Christmas decorations or another on preparing ratafia.
The programming for this 2026-27 academic year was discussed on Tuesday, September 8th, by the eight members of the Iubilo community's Board. In this meeting, Rosa Caballol served as secretary for the first time, succeeding Àngels Olivé, to whom the community expresses its deep gratitude for her efficient work over many years.
Finally, at the Iubilo Board meeting, preparations began for the report of the past 2025-26 academic year, which will be presented, among other points, next December at the Plenary session attended by all Iubilo members.
