The official start of the celebrations in the capital of the Costa Daurada will take place at 8:00 PM with the traditional proclamation at the TAS. The selection of Soto, a highly popular figure in the Spanish artistic scene, ensures an opening characterized by humor and high energy.
Born in Mataró, Edu Soto began his career in the late nineties. He achieved great notoriety thanks to his collaboration with Andreu Buenafuente and the creation of the character "El Neng de Castefa," which became a media phenomenon.
His appointment as town crier guarantees an inauguration marked by humor, energy, and complicity with attendees.
Beyond television, Soto has built a solid theatrical career, starring in large-format musicals and solo comedy shows. The first day of festivities will conclude with the Nit d’Humor (Comedy Night), where the artist will present his show Más vale solo que ciento volando at the Festa Major Marquee.
The proclamation ceremony will also include the presentation of the Pubilles and the Hereu de Salou (traditional festive representatives). These celebrations will lead into several days of activities, culminating in the Cós Blanc parade, the main event of the winter festival.
