The Port of Tarragona has become the temporary home this March for the Katara, a massive luxury yacht owned by the former Emir of Qatar, Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Built by the German shipyard Lürssen, the vessel measures over 120 meters in length. Its steel hull and aluminum superstructure allow it to reach speeds of nearly 20 knots, making it one of the largest and most efficient private yachts in the world.
Valued at more than 300 million euros, the Katara features world-class amenities such as a helipad, swimming pools, a gym, a spa, and a cinema. It can accommodate dozens of guests and a professional crew of up to 90 people.
The yacht arrived in Tarragona after traveling through the Mediterranean, including stops in Gibraltar and Mallorca. This is not the first time the vessel has visited the city's port facilities.
