The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested seven individuals and dismantled several drug dealing points and marijuana plantations in Tarragona's Campclar neighborhood, following an investigation initiated two months ago.

The police operation, carried out on Wednesday at noon, identified five locations linked to criminal activity. These included an apartment and a commercial premise used for selling narcotics, one of which was located very close to a school. Additionally, three apartments were found to be cultivating approximately 700 cannabis plants.
During the raids and searches, officers seized 70 doses of cocaine, 6.75 grams of rock cocaine, and 89 doses of heroin, all prepared for retail sale. Three dog puppies were also rescued and placed under the care of competent services.
The detainees, who collectively have over a hundred police records, include a minor and an individual with an active arrest warrant. They are accused of crimes against public health and electricity fraud. They are expected to appear before a judge in the coming hours.
The investigation also uncovered significant electricity fraud, with nine illegal connections totaling 230,000 kW defrauded, representing an estimated economic loss of 50,000 euros annually. Technicians proceeded to disconnect these supplies. The Agència de l'Habitatge de Catalunya has recovered two occupied properties, which will be allocated for social use. This operation is part of the Pla de Barris, aimed at eradicating crime primarily related to public health.
