Former Tarragona City Council member Manuel López Pasca, who served between 2007 and 2011, has died at the age of 72, leaving a legacy in citizen relations and local community engagement.

Manuel López Pasca, known as Manolo, served as the Citizen Relations councilor in the Tarragona City Council during the mandate of Mayor Josep Fèlix Ballesteros, specifically between 2007 and 2011. Prior to this, he had been a councilor in the opposition since 1999, running on the PSC-PMc lists.
His work as a councilor focused on relationships with neighborhood and cultural entities, as well as strengthening the city's associative fabric. After leaving office, he continued his involvement in local politics as an advisor to Mayor Ballesteros until his retirement in January 2019.
Beyond his political career, López Pasca was a key figure in Tarragona's associative and cultural sphere. He presided over the Casa de Andalucía de Tarragona, where he promoted the popular Feria de Abril. He also chaired the Associació d'Exregidors Democràtics de l'Ajuntament de Tarragona (Association of Democratic Former Councilors).
Born in Rosaleda de la Frontera (Huelva), he arrived in Tarragona at just 10 years old and attended the Col·legi Gual Villalbí in Torreforta. He was a great football enthusiast and a member of the Nàstic club.
