A third 13-year-old minor, who was in critical condition at Tarragona's Juan XXIII Hospital, has died as a result of the accident that occurred on Friday at Arrabassada beach.

The death of this adolescent brings the total number of fatalities following the incident to three. The President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, expressed his deep sorrow and conveyed his support to the families and the sports club CD La Floresta, also thanking the work of healthcare and emergency professionals.
The incident occurred on Friday when a group of six young people were swimming in the Cova del Gos area, a rocky zone between Arrabassada and El Miracle beaches, outside the lifeguards' watch. Despite the yellow flag and the rough seas, three of the minors managed to get out of the water on their own.
The other three youths had to be rescued in critical condition. The Emergency Medical System (SEM) deployed six ambulances and a medicalized helicopter, with the collaboration of the Firefighters, the Mossos d'Esquadra, the Red Cross, and Maritime Rescue. Two of the minors were transferred to Juan XXIII Hospital, while a third could not be saved.

"There are no words in these moments of pain. I want to convey my warmth and support to the families and friends of the boys, and to the entire CD La Floresta club."
