The municipality of Els Pallaresos has unveiled a new artistic space to preserve and promote its history. It is a modernist mural spanning over 130 square meters, created by painter Carles Arola using the trompe-l'oeil technique.
The chosen location is the corner of Nou and Clotes streets, opposite the plaça de la Cabina. This spot coincides with the former birthplace of musician Josep Gols i Veciana, known as Ca l’Estevet.
The artwork focuses on the personalities who shaped the municipality in the early 20th century. Notable figures include architect Josep Maria Jujol, teacher Gols, chef Ramón Rabasó, sisters Pepita and Dolors Bofarull, Emília Solé, as well as various characters like priests, coopers, and Antoni Gaudí, who serves as a connecting thread.
Additionally, the mural will feature a QR code. This code will link to the municipal website, allowing visitors to delve deeper into the history and legacy of each depicted figure.
