The new application, awarded to the company Goil Security SL, based in El Vendrell, aims to improve citizen security by providing an immediate contact channel with local police forces. The project involves the collaboration of the towns of Cambrils, El Catllar, La Canonja, Constantí, Mont-roig del Camp, and Tarragona.
The total cost of the contract includes the supply, implementation, support, and maintenance of the service, as well as additional consultancy and programming. The awarded company will have a maximum of one year for the complete implementation of the system, which will subsequently offer support and updates for three years.
The application's main functionality will allow users to send alert messages and make emergency calls that will be automatically directed to the nearest local police. Additionally, citizens will be able to receive constant updates from municipal security forces. For security purposes, the app can transfer key personal data and the geolocation of the alert.
The system also includes user segmentation by profiles with different security needs, such as local businesses, companies, health professionals, educators, and vulnerable individuals. Furthermore, it will facilitate agile communication between different security forces, creating a network of inter-territorial cooperation with a shared internal management system.
This digital solution will ensure integrated and joint action among local police forces, although each municipality will be able to maintain its own configuration regarding aspects like user registration or the application's design and branding.
