Several municipalities on the Costa Daurada, including Roda de Barà, Coma-ruga, Torredembarra, and el Vendrell, were hit by torrential rains overnight, with rainfall reaching up to 260 millimeters per square meter.

The torrential downpours, with little electrical activity, particularly affected the coastlines of Baix Penedès and Tarragonès. Official records show 145 mm in el Vendrell, 137 mm in Torredembarra, and 109 mm in Calafell. Some areas received 200 mm in just two hours, causing flash floods and water accumulation that the terrain could not absorb.
As a result of this situation, hundreds of incidents have been reported. Around a hundred young people were evacuated from a nightclub, a campsite was evacuated, and the N-340 highway experienced closures. Additionally, the collapse of a wall resulted in five injuries.
Weather forecasts indicate a continued probability of heavy downpours in the coming hours, especially between the south of Camp de Tarragona and Terres de l'Ebre. The Inuncat plan remains active, along with several alerts from Meteocat.
Meanwhile, the city of Barcelona was spared from these heavy rains. Despite clouds and some drizzle overnight, minimum temperatures were more pleasant, falling below torrid values for the second consecutive night. This milder weather is expected to continue in the coming days.
