The President of the Port of Tarragona, Santiago J. Castellà, and the Government delegate in the Ebro region, Joan Castor Gonell, formalized a strategic partnership this Wednesday to enhance regional logistics.

The agreement focuses on promoting the Tarragona-Ebro-Lleida axis within the Barcelona-Catalunya Centre Logístic (BCL). For the first time, the Port of Tarragona holds the presidency of this body, providing a unique platform to influence national infrastructure planning.

"This presidency allows us to incorporate the vision of the south and Ponent into the country's infrastructure planning."

Key projects include a new railway intermodal terminal in the Ebro region, intended to support the local agricultural and industrial sectors. This initiative, alongside the development of the ZAL (Logistics Activity Zone), aims to create high-quality jobs and increase regional competitiveness.
