The president of the Port of Tarragona, Santiago J. Castellà, and the Government delegate in Terres de l'Ebre, Joan Castor Gonell, met this Wednesday to launch a new strategic logistics alliance.

The partnership focuses on promoting the Tarragona-Ebre-Lleida axis to enhance Catalonia's position in the Mediterranean logistics landscape. By leading the BCL association, the Port aims to advocate for essential regional infrastructures.

"Having an intermodal rail terminal in Terres de l'Ebre is strategic for the Port of Tarragona."

Santiago J. Castellà · President of the Port of Tarragona
Key projects such as the Andalusia Quay container terminal and the future Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL) are expected to drive growth in the agricultural and industrial sectors across the Ebre region.
