Socialist mayors from the Camp de Tarragona region expressed their support this Wednesday for the Generalitat budget, which allocates 305.8 million euros to the area.

The Mayor of Tarragona, Rubén Viñuales, highlighted that the Tarragonès district would receive nearly 200 million euros. Key projects include the expansion of the Joan XXIII Hospital and the development of the Tramcamp light rail system.
In Reus, Mayor Sandra Guaita noted an investment of over 83 million euros for the Baix Camp, focusing on healthcare facilities. Meanwhile, Kenneth Martínez, Mayor of El Vendrell, emphasized the 24 million euros destined for the Baix Penedès, including road improvements and new health centers.
The PSC leaders called for political responsibility in the Catalan Parliament. They warned that blocking the budget would jeopardize critical infrastructure and public services across the southern region of Catalonia.
