The municipality of Salou has announced the reopening of its dog beach at Ponent Beach for the 2026 season, maintaining last year's conditions and offering adapted services for pets.

This area, located between Esperanto Street (Venus Square) and C Street, covers an area of 1,864 square meters. The initiative aims to ensure harmonious coexistence between bathers and companion animals, providing a regulated and equipped zone.
The dog beach features specific services such as pet showers, waste bins, and appropriate signage, ensuring a comfortable, safe, and orderly stay. This measure continues the model implemented in 2025, which allowed the compatibility of tourist use of the coastline with the presence of animals in a controlled environment.
The council emphasizes that this quality alternative for families with pets does not compromise its commitment to sustainability and civility on the beaches. It is reminded that animals must be kept under control at all times to ensure respectful coexistence.
The area will be fully operational before the start of the bathing season, and the City Council calls for adherence to usage rules to guarantee a pleasant experience for all users.
