This initiative aims to meet the needs of local associations and provide a versatile space for sports, artistic disciplines, training, and leisure. The council will allocate an estimated budget of 2,547,600.98 euros for the creation of this new area.
The future facility will include areas for practices such as martial arts, tai chi, table tennis, and chess, envisioned not just as a sports center but as a meeting point open to all ages and profiles.
The proposal leverages the natural characteristics of the Botanical Garden to create an environment where nature, physical activity, health, and community life complement each other. Indoor and outdoor spaces are planned to accommodate diverse activities throughout the year.
The project's design phase costs 171,318.89 euros, with construction expected to commence in the autumn of 2027. This development is part of the municipal strategy to modernize and expand the city's facilities.
