At La Móra beach, a forest vegetation fire affected approximately 800 square meters. The blaze started at 11:38 PM and was quickly extinguished by four fire crews, preventing its spread in a sensitive forest area.
In Móra d'Ebre, several debris containers caught fire. The alert was received at 11:06 PM, and five crews worked on extinguishing the flames, sealing the hotspots with foam once they were out.
“"The hotspots are now extinguished and not smoking. We have sealed them with foam."
Across Catalonia, firefighters managed a total of 614 calls between 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM. Most of the operations involved small urban fires in containers, bins, and street furniture, as well as vegetation fires and incidents related to the use of pyrotechnics.
Despite the high number of interventions, no serious incidents or significant injuries were reported. Authorities are reminding the public of the importance of maintaining vigilance and exercising extreme caution due to fire risk during the summer season.
