Storm Joseph maintains unstable weather with weak rains and overcast skies in Camp de Tarragona, while the storm has caused one fatality and serious flooding in other parts of the Iberian Peninsula.

Storm Joseph caused the death of a woman in Torremolinos (Málaga) this Tuesday, after a palm tree fell on her due to the strong winds. In Andalusia, the storm forced the activation of the Emergency Plan for Flood Risk in operational phase 1, registering 366 incidents, mainly in Cádiz, Seville, and Málaga.

In addition to the human loss, the storm has forced the cancellation of all maritime connections in the Strait of Gibraltar and caused numerous preventive evacuations.

Galicia is another of the most affected regions, with over 1,200 incidents, dozens of traffic accidents, and the total closure of the AP-9 highway towards Santiago due to a multiple collision. Alerts for falling trees, flooding, and landslides have multiplied, with several rivers remaining under surveillance for risk of overflowing.
In Castilla y León, the passage of Joseph has caused the collapse of buildings in Ponferrada and Segovia, in addition to warnings for snow, intense rain, and thaw in various areas. The Directorate General of Traffic has urged drivers to exercise extreme caution and plan their journeys.
Regarding Tarragona, although there are no significant incidents reported yet, the forecast indicates that the rain episode will continue, maintaining unstable weather in the coming hours. Residents are advised to follow the storm's evolution and exercise caution when traveling.
