Storm Regina arrived in Tarragona on March 5th, bringing forecasts of rainfall that could exceed 100 liters per square meter within a 24-hour period.

The Meteocat weather service has updated its warnings as the front moves in, primarily affecting high-altitude areas. The regions of Terra Alta, Baix Ebre, and Montsià are under a yellow alert for significant water accumulation expected to last until next Wednesday.
In addition to the rain, strong winds are expected in Tarragonès and Baix Penedès, with gusts potentially exceeding 70 km/h. Authorities advise citizens to take precautions against falling branches and to limit travel in exposed areas.
Temperatures are set to remain cool, with highs of 15 ºC and lows of 10 ºC. The period of instability will continue to bring localized heavy showers and thunderstorms across the province.
