Approximately 150 residents in the Els Pinars urbanization, in Boscos de Tarragona, are suffering intermittent power outages since the August 24th storm, aggravated by a generator failure and material theft.

The fall of trees and branches during the storm on August 24th caused significant damage to the overhead power line supplying electricity to the Els Pinars urbanization, located in Boscos de Tarragona. Consequently, about 150 residents have experienced intermittent power outages for days.
Initially, emergency generators were installed to ensure supply while the damaged infrastructure was being rebuilt. However, one of these units has malfunctioned, as confirmed by sources from Endesa. This incident adds to the delay in permanent repairs, caused by the theft of materials needed for the infrastructure.
The current situation forces residents to alternate between several hours without electricity and periods where the service is temporarily restored, only to be interrupted again. Endesa states that it is working to resolve the generator failure and to advance the reconstruction of the copper overhead line, aiming to normalize the supply as soon as possible.
The storm, which included heavy rain, hail, and strong winds, affected several urbanizations in the Llevant area of Tarragona, such as Monnars and Entrepins, causing numerous tree falls and vehicle damage.
