The Tarragona City Council has awarded a 180,413.42 euro contract to La Tartana Costa Daurada SL to renovate the Port neighborhood community center.

The renovation of the building at 9 Reial Street is expected to take six months. The facility has been closed since 2020 after a water leak from upper floors caused the ceiling to collapse and destroyed the electrical system.
The project includes structural reinforcement, new electrical and climate control systems, and the expansion of the main hall. Historic masonry arches will be preserved as part of the architectural heritage of the local social space.
