Commuters and local authorities in Tarragona have voiced serious concerns regarding the Alternative Transport Plan organized by Renfe for the upcoming Garraf tunnel works.

Starting this Monday, March 16th, and continuing until June, major renovations will affect regional lines including the R13 and R16. Passengers will be forced to switch to buses between Sant Vicenç de Calders and el Prat de Llobregat.

"The plan is poorly designed. It seems thought out for freight transport, not for people who need to get to Barcelona."

Local mayors from Valls and Montblanc lamented the lack of direct communication from Adif. While Torredembarra has secured direct bus links to Barcelona, other inland towns fear being left isolated during the three-month construction period.
