This project is part of the expansion of Tarragona's interactive urban art route, which has incorporated four new pieces in various parts of the city. The mural at the Bonavista retirement home stands out for its emotional depth, seeking to connect with visitors' memories and emotions.
The artwork allows users to interact with the mural through an augmented reality experience, reliving moments and feelings linked to older people. The main objective of the initiative is to value collective memory and recognize the fundamental contribution of the elderly to the history of the neighborhoods and the city.
The works, which began this week, are part of a new edition of the interactive mural project promoted by the Tarragona City Council. In addition to the Bonavista piece, other artistic interventions have been created dedicated to Roman heritage, the Nina d'Ivori, and neighborhood unity through sport in the Campclar district.
Artists Ceser, Rul, Lalone, Sasa, Eslicer, Dery, and Faker, through the company Suite_of_art, have been responsible for bringing these creations to life.
“"The city is consolidating itself as a benchmark in urban art, combining creativity and technology to transform public space into a living, participatory, and accessible experience for all."
