Tarragona housing prices surge by 14.3% over the last year

Average property prices in the region reached 2,174 euros per square meter in February amid high market tension.

The Tarragona region recorded a 14.3% year-on-year increase in second-hand housing prices this February, with the average value reaching 2,174 euros per square meter.

According to the Fotocasa Real Estate Index, the Catalan market is facing significant pressure. While Barcelona and Girona maintain the highest absolute prices, Tarragona is consolidating an upward trend that reflects growing demand across the territory.

Specific municipalities like Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant saw a record spike of 71.8%. In contrast, Tarragona city experienced a more moderate 2.4% rise, while towns like Valls remain among the most affordable options in the region.
