The Tarragona City Council has introduced a fleet of 30 new vehicles for street cleaning, aiming to boost the operational capacity of the municipal service.

Of these new units, a total of eighteen operate with water, enabling more effective action against various types of dirt and in different areas of the city. The acquisition of this more specialized machinery will also allow for reinforcing certain cleaning frequencies and intensifying efforts in the city's neighborhoods.
Six of the vehicles are already in operation on the city streets, with the rest to be gradually integrated into the service in the coming weeks. This acquisition is part of the contractual obligations with the service's awarded company, Urbaser.

"We don't want citizens to see 30 new vehicles; we want them to see cleaner streets"

Rubén Viñuales · Mayor of Tarragona
