Aiming to bring the beauty and significance of a total solar eclipse closer to families, several projections will take place at the Plaça de la Unesco. The first is this Saturday, July 25th, at 9 PM, followed by others on Saturdays, August 1st and 8th, at the same time.
The piece tells the story of two children, Blai and Alba, who, guided by their grandmother Jana, a former scientist, journey through time to understand the alignment of the Sun, Moon, and Earth. The mapping uses a visual and poetic language to explain a phenomenon that historically caused fear and mystery.
The show transforms the Roman Circus into a giant screen, taking the audience from a typical rooftop to Roman Tarraco, through eras like the end of the empire and the medieval chronicles of Jaume I. It highlights how the eclipse is a collective experience connecting with the territory's memory.
