This financial injection will allow an additional 15 million euros to be allocated to the ImpulsDipta Plan, with the objective of covering operational expenses for all local councils and decentralized municipal entities (EMD) in Camp de Tarragona, Terres de l'Ebre, and Baix Penedès.
Furthermore, the budget allocation for actions to restore assets and services affected by meteorological phenomena or exceptional situations has been increased by more than 2.8 million euros, a sum expected to double by the end of the year. Within this scope, 225,000 euros have been assigned for repairing damages caused by the DANA in Godall, 197,000 euros for repairing landslides in Santa Perpètua de Gaià and Pontils, and 100,000 euros for the consolidation project of the Castell de Pratdip, among others.
The modification also includes support for projects by local bodies and entities throughout the province, such as the purchase of land for the future heliport in Móra d'Ebre (200,000 euros), aid to COPATE to combat black flies and mosquitoes (369,000 euros), the promotion of phase 3 of the conservation of the modernist winery in Rocafort de Queralt (180,000 euros), collaboration in the rehabilitation of the central nave roof of the Tarragona Cathedral (200,000 euros), and support for events organized by the Pau Casals Foundation to commemorate the musician's birth (75,000 euros).
Finally, funds have been allocated for municipal projects and initiatives related to the total eclipse scheduled for August 12. These include the Eclipse Observation Days organized by the Benifallet City Council, 'Reus mira al cel', and activities organized by the city councils of Camarles, Montbrió, and Tarragona, with a total allocation close to 100,000 euros.
The measure was approved with favorable votes from the ERC, PSC, Junts, and PP groups, while the Vox group voted against it.
