Tarragona to host the Lliga Catalana ACB basketball tournament from September 9-13

The city will host the competition for the fifth time, bringing together the six Catalan ACB teams.

The city of Tarragona will be the stage for the 47th edition of the Lliga Catalana ACB basketball tournament, scheduled from September 9 to 13 at the Palau d’Esports Catalunya.

This marks the fifth occasion that Tarragona hosts this significant sporting event, following the editions of 1995, 2022, 2024, and 2025. The announcement was confirmed yesterday by the municipal council.
The Lliga Catalana ACB will bring together the six clubs from Spain's top basketball league affiliated with the Catalan Basketball Federation: FC Barcelona, Bàsquet Manresa, Joventut Badalona, Bàsquet Girona, BC Andorra, and Força Lleida.
The tournament will commence with a preliminary phase from September 9 to 11, featuring two groups of three teams playing a single-round-robin format. The group winners will compete in the final on Sunday, September 13.
In the last edition held in Tarragona, Baxi Manresa emerged as the champion and will therefore be the defending titleholder.
The competition is organized by the Catalan Basketball Federation, with the collaboration of the Tarragona City Council, the Tarragona Provincial Council, and the Department of Sports of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
