The Palau Firal i de Congressos de Tarragona hosted the tenth edition of the Bona Gent 2025 gala on Thursday, recognizing twenty committed individuals and organizations transforming the local reality.
The initiative, which celebrated its tenth anniversary, aims to identify and pay tribute to local heroes who are committed to making the world a better place, all with a connection to Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre. Over 500 people attended the ceremony.
Key winners recognized included two rising padel stars, Asier and Hugo Estébanez, and the Institut Martí i Franquès. During the event, the brothers confirmed their clear objective of becoming professional padel players.

"Ten years ago, we had a simple but powerful idea: to identify and honor those people and entities doing good things in Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre. Ten years later, this idea has become a tradition that vindicates the most human virtue of all: kindness."
The project also emphasized its solidarity commitment: the Fundació La Caixa donated one euro to the Fundació La Muntanyeta for every hundred votes cast. This year saw a record participation of 364,280 votes, resulting in a donation check of 3,643 euros.

"The Palau is not just hosting a gala today: it hosts life stories, daily gestures, helping hands, accompanying glances, and people who put others at the center. Today this space is filled with the best that Tarragona has: its people."
The event concluded with remarks from the Minister of Sports of the Generalitat, Berni Álvarez, who highlighted the social scope of the initiative, arguing that it demonstrates the territory's potential as a social and economic engine for current Catalunya.
