The Meteorological Service of Catalonia has issued several warnings for Tarragonès and much of the region as Storm Regina brings heavy rain and coastal storms through Friday.

The weather event, peaking between Thursday and Friday, has alerted authorities to potential torrential rains. In northeastern Catalonia, accumulations could reach 100 liters per square meter.
In Tarragonès, the region will be primarily affected by wind gusts, which have already reached 72 km/h. Meteocat maintains wind alerts for Barcelonès, Baix Llobregat, Garraf, and Baix Penedès, alongside the Tarragona area.

Civil Protection is maintaining a pre-alert status for its flood plan and is asking the public to exercise extreme caution.

Sea conditions are also a major concern, with waves expected to exceed 2.5 meters. While conditions are expected to improve by Friday afternoon, maritime warnings will remain in place.
