The incident occurred around three in the afternoon last Friday near Vila-seca, on the dangerous N-340 road. One vehicle, carrying several occupants, fired shots at a second car while driving.

The vehicle that received the shots attempted to maneuver to avoid the bullets but ended up crashing. Two people traveling in it were treated by medical services and transferred to the hospital with injuries that, according to police sources, are not serious.

The car from which the shots were fired managed to flee the scene. The Mossos d'Esquadra have opened an investigation, and initial inquiries suggest the event may be related to a conflict linked to drug trafficking.

The Catalan police suspect that more people were traveling in the crashed vehicle who fled after the impact, which strengthens the hypothesis of a settling of scores in the Tarragonès area.
