A 2.7 magnitude earthquake shakes the Tarragonès coast

The Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia (ICGC) has reported a 2.7 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale recorded this Sunday off the coast of Tarragonès.

The seismic movement occurred at 3:43 AM. According to data provided by the official body, the epicenter was located at a depth of 5 kilometers, situated offshore.
Authorities have confirmed that the quake was not felt by the local population and no material damage has been reported as a result of the phenomenon.
This event follows a similar movement that occurred on June 23 in the same geographical area, which reached a magnitude of 2.3 and also had no impact on citizens.
