Sunday will begin with clear or partly cloudy skies in the eastern half, while the rest of the territory will show high and mid-level cloudiness. Low clouds are expected along the southern coast. From late morning onwards, cloud cover will increase across the board, leaving the sky partly cloudy in the east and between partly and very cloudy elsewhere. Cumulus clouds will develop in the Pyrenees, with isolated occurrences in the Pre-Pyrenees, and will extend into the western third by the end of the day.
From midday, showers and downpours are anticipated in the Pyrenees and Pre-Pyrenees, particularly in the western sector. Precipitation is not ruled out in the rest of the western third. The intensity will range from weak to moderate, with minimal to not very abundant amounts, although it could be abundant in the Pyrenees at times. These showers will be accompanied by thunderstorms and hail or small stones, especially in the Pyrenean region, and may bring mud. In warned areas, rainfall could be heavy and accumulate substantial amounts.
Temperatures will remain similar or experience a slight increase, for both minimums and maximums. Visibility will generally be good to fair, affected by suspended dust particles, being fairer in the morning in Terres de l'Ebre. Furthermore, visibility will be temporarily reduced in the afternoon during shower activity.
Winds will be light and variable at the beginning and end of the day, except in the north of Alt Empordà where a light to moderate tramuntana wind will blow. During the middle of the day, a southerly component wind will prevail, from light to moderate, with some strong gusts during showers. In the afternoon, strong winds of variable direction are possible in Ponent and nearby areas.
