The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat) has updated its warning for dangerous meteorological conditions, extending the yellow alert for intense rainfall to several regions in southern Tarragona.

The alert, with a danger level of 2 out of 6, will be active during the afternoon of this Saturday, specifically between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Locally intense precipitation is expected, with the possibility of exceeding 20 liters per square meter in just 30 minutes.
The regions affected by this extended warning in the Tarragona demarcation include Montsià, Baix Ebre, Terra Alta, Ribera d’Ebre, Priorat, Baix Camp, and Tarragonès. This measure is part of a period of heavy rainfall that has already affected the area in previous days.
Although the alert focuses on these areas, Meteocat has indicated that precipitation is also expected in other parts of the Catalan territory, albeit with less intensity. Temperatures will remain stable, with maximums around 24 degrees Celsius and minimums between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius.
Looking ahead to Sunday, a temporary improvement is expected during the morning, but thunderstorms could return in the afternoon, with the possibility of hail in some areas of the Terres de l’Ebre.
