The call for applications, included in the 2026 municipal budget, will distribute the funds as follows: €30,000 for sports entities, €18,000 for cultural and festive associations, and €7,000 for neighborhood associations. These grants aim to support projects and activities that invigorate the municipality's social and cultural life.
In the sports sector, the grants cover the promotion of physical activity, the organization of competitions, and other activities that encourage citizen participation. For culture and festivities, support is provided for initiatives promoting popular and traditional culture, performing and musical arts, visual arts, local heritage, talks, conferences, and traditional festivals. Neighborhood grants are intended to co-finance leisure projects that promote participation, social cohesion, integration, and coexistence.
For the past seven years, grants have been awarded through competitive bidding, evaluating the projects or performance reports submitted by each entity, along with their respective budgets. A scoring system considers criteria such as the general interest of the activity, the number of participants, its impact beyond the municipality, and the challenges in carrying out the project without financial aid.
The evaluation of projects is carried out by a qualifying committee composed of representatives from all political groups represented in the council. For further information or to resolve doubts, entities can contact the Town Council's Secretariat department, Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
