The citizens of Roda de Berà have provisionally selected 22 proposals for the fourth edition of the Participatory Budgets, an initiative that allows for the proposal and prioritization of municipal investments. These proposals, addressing improvements in public spaces and mobility, parks and green areas, and facilities, must now pass a municipal technical validation before being put to a public vote in January.
The prioritization session, held on October 16th at the Casino Municipal, brought together around thirty people who evaluated the proposals based on need, number of beneficiaries, and sustainability. In total, 81 proposals were received from 44 residents, of which 32 were initially considered potentially valid. After weighting the results, a provisional list of 22 actions has been compiled.
Throughout November, municipal technical services will analyze the feasibility, compliance with criteria, and cost of each proposal. Only those that pass this stage will proceed to the citizen voting phase. The budget allocation for this edition is 140,000 euros.
The 22 provisionally prioritized proposals include improvements to the nursery's drainage and air conditioning, wastewater channeling, public lighting, accessible curb cuts, new storm drains, a pumptrack circuit, a calisthenics park, renovation of park furniture and play equipment, sports facilities for the elderly, a new changing room at the municipal football field, a webcam at the beach, secure parking for scooters, bicycle lanes, more bins and water fountains, and garden renovations.
