Salou Christmas Park collects nearly one ton of food for vulnerable families

The solidarity initiative, promoted during the holidays, managed to gather close to 1,000 kilograms of essential products for local distribution.

Mayor Pere Granados and Councilor Noelia Izquierdo visited Càritas and Eluzai to confirm the success of the food collection drive held during the Christmas Park in Salou.

The solidarity campaign, which took place during the Christmas holidays, managed to gather nearly one thousand kilograms of food products, which will be distributed among vulnerable families in the municipality.

During the visit to the facilities, Mayor Pere Granados thanked the public for their cooperation, highlighting the exemplary response despite adverse weather conditions. He also praised the essential work of the volunteers who actively participated in organizing the Christmas Park, emphasizing that this spirit of cooperation defines the city.
In addition to the food collection, the Càritas organization prepared about a hundred gifts intended for children from low-income families, ensuring they could experience the excitement of Three Kings' Night. This action reaffirms the social aspect of the event in Salou.
