The first prize of the El Niño Lottery, 06703, distributed across 11 Catalan municipalities

The lucky number, valued at 200,000 euros per ticket, has spread fortune across several towns, with Salou being one of the key locations.

The first prize of the El Niño Lottery, number 06703 and valued at 200,000 euros per ticket, hit 11 Catalan municipalities, including Salou, during the draw held on January 6.

The winning number for the first prize of the Epiphany draw, 06703, brought luck to various regions, with sales points in Terrassa, Mataró, Barcelona, Cornellà de Llobregat, el Prat de Llobregat, Rubí, Mollet del Vallès, Sant Pere de Ribes, Castelldefels, Sabadell, and Salou. The second prize, 45875, valued at 75,000 euros per ticket, was also partially sold in Barcelona.
Regarding expenditure, Catalonia invested 92.691 million euros in this edition of the draw, representing a 0.69% decrease compared to the previous year. The average expenditure per inhabitant stood at 11.41 euros, lower than the 11.80 euros recorded last year.
By province, Barcelona leads the spending with 65.704 million euros (11.02 euros per inhabitant). Lleida, influenced by sales from the Bruixa d'Or in Sort, registered the highest per capita expenditure (20.9 euros), totaling 9.6 million. Girona spent 8.5 million (10.32 euros/hab.) and Tarragona 8.7 million (10.05 euros/hab.).

This revenue is due to the fact that the first prize (200,000 euros) is taxed 32,000 euros, and the second prize (75,000 euros) is taxed 7,000 euros. The third prize (25,000 euros) is exempt, as the tax-free threshold is set at 40,000 euros.
